To complete the preparation of the paraffin embedded tissue sections, the BMERCL has:
- Fisher Scientific Illuminated Tissue Prep Flotation Bath 135 to soften tissue specimens without wrinkles, folds and distortions. Temperature set dial, heat indicator light, bath chamber is 12 x 8 x 1.5 in.
- Fisher Scientific Slide Warmer to aid in the mounting of the paraffin tissue sections. Unit is heated with a replaceable 100-watt heating cartridge. Handles materials with melting points from 20° to 300°C. Excellent temperature control and reproducibility (±0.5°C) achieved with variable transformer graduated in percent power.
